Marketing design for Lake Forest agents
A city of large estates, curving streets laid out in the nineteenth century, and a town center built around Market Square.
The market
Lake Forest was planned in the 1850s around ravines and curving roads rather than a grid, and that plan still shapes it. Large estates sit on wooded lots, many designed by prominent architects for Chicago families in the early twentieth century. Market Square, built in 1916, is often cited as one of the first planned shopping districts in the country.
Estate properties here can take longer to sell and are often sold through a network of buyers' agents as much as through public listings. Materials have to hold up across a long marketing period and serve buyers who want acreage, outbuildings, history and privacy explained in detail.
What sells here
- Historic estates on multi-acre wooded parcels
- Georgian, Tudor and Country French manor homes
- Newer custom homes on subdivided estate land
- Townhomes and smaller homes near Market Square and the Metra stations
What the marketing has to do
- Estate books with site plans, outbuildings and grounds given their own sections.
- Materials designed to stay current through a longer marketing period, with easy updates.
- Quiet broker-to-broker pieces for networks of buyers' agents.
