Marketing design for Wilmette agents

A lakefront village of well-kept older homes, a beach and harbor, and the Baha'i House of Worship marking its shoreline.

The market

Wilmette sits between Evanston and Kenilworth on the lake, with Gillson Park and the harbor at its eastern edge and the Baha'i House of Worship, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, on Sheridan Road. Most of the village was built out in the first half of the twentieth century, and its streets show it: Colonial Revival, Tudor and Georgian homes, many carefully updated.

West of the Edens, newer homes and more varied lot sizes. Buyers often compare Wilmette closely with neighboring North Shore villages, so listing materials do well when they are clear about the specific location: which side of town, how far to the lake, which Metra stop.

What sells here

  • Colonial Revival, Tudor and Georgian single-family homes
  • Lakefront and east-side homes near Sheridan Road
  • Updated mid-century homes west of the Edens
  • Condominiums and townhomes near the village center

What the marketing has to do

  • Location panels that place a home precisely within the village, not just in it.
  • Before-and-after material for renovated homes, when the seller wants that story told.
  • A tone that matches a market where understatement reads as confidence.
